House System

What’s the House System?

At ISN, we believe it is important to recognise and reward our students’ achievements and progress. In Primary, students work on a range of skills and positive behaviours at school — from using new vocabulary to helping a classmate — and can earn points for these. Once a student has accumulated enough points, they receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate. These certificates are presented at the end of the week during the Friday assembly, when we also announce the latest House standings and the Star of the Week for each class.

In Secondary, students also earn points through merits, with the criteria adapted to their age group. Throughout the year, students take part in a variety of competitions, including fancy-dress competitions, sports tournaments and literary challenges, among others, where they can earn additional points. Some of these events are organised by House, bringing together students from different year groups rather than competing by class or grade.

The points earned by each student in Primary and Secondary contribute to their House’s overall total.

Which houses exist at International School of Navarra?

At International School of Navarra there are four houses named after great conquerors of the United Kingdom: Saxons, Normans, Romans and Vikings. When a student enrolls for the first time in our center they are randomly assigned to a house. If the student has siblings, when they join the center they are part of the same house.
